  1. Baldwin Memorial Collection of Woody Species
    Among the scenic locations on campus can be found more than 300 species and varieties of woody plants, a living archive that also supports research by faculty and students at the university. This collection is known as "The Baldwin Memorial Collection of Woody Species" after John T. (J.T.) Baldwin, Jr., professor of biology from 1946 to 1974.
  2. Biochemistry
    The undergraduate minor in biochemistry provides a foundation for understanding life processes at the molecular level. The minor is highly synergistic with the biology, chemistry and neuroscience majors, as well as pre-medical studies.
  3. Biology
    The Department of Biology is committed to excellence in research and teaching. Graduate and undergraduate students gain a foundation in the integrative life sciences, from molecules to ecosystems. Our goal is the development of well-trained biologists and scientifically literate citizens, prepared for many different pre-professional programs (e.g. pre-medical) and a diversity of career paths.
  4. Black Faculty and Staff Forum (The Forum)
    The Forum is a recognized vehicle for advancing the interests of the Black community at W&M.
  5. Blackboard Course Information
    Blackboard is a learning management system with a searchable listing of course websites.
  6. Board of Visitors
    The Board of Visitors (BOV) is the governing body for W&M. The Governor of Virginia appoints individuals to serve four-year terms.
  7. Bookstore
    The Spirit Shop & Bookstore, operated by Barnes & Noble College Booksellers, is the university's retail location for textbooks, general books and William & Mary memorabilia.
  8. Box Office, Kimball Theatre (previously at Phi Beta Kappa Memorial Hall)
    Tickets for W&M events are sold through the box office at the Kimball Theatre and through an online ticket site.
  9. Brafferton Initiative
    The Brafferton Initiative endeavors to position Native history and presence as core elements of the university identity, consistent with the prominence of the Brafferton building in our Historic Campus landscape and Native education in our 1693 Charter and founding story.
  10. Brafferton Project
    The renewal and renovation of The Brafferton is an effort to preserve one of W&M's most important historic buildings.
  11. Bray School Lab
    The William & Mary Bray School Lab is a key component of the Williamsburg Bray School Initiative, a ground-breaking and innovative partnership between William & Mary and The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation with the shared goal of uncovering, documenting, preserving, and disseminating the history and legacy of the Williamsburg Bray School.
  12. Budget Office
    The Budget Office provides recommendations on the allocation of university resources; develops, implements, and administers the university budget; and allocates financial resources in keeping with William & Mary's mission and Strategic Plan.
  13. Bursar's Office
    Financial Operations is responsible for providing comprehensive accounting, bursar and payroll services in support of the university's primary mission of education, research and public service.
  14. Business Affairs
    Business Affairs works to to maintain the safety and aesthetic of William & Mary's physical campus, along with the associated goods and services. Our dedicated team of nearly 500 staff comprise eight functional areas and work tireless to support the university's academic mission.

    William & Mary’s business school is rebuilding the global economy by training the next generation of revolutionary business leaders.
