Biochemistry Minor

A minor in biochemistry requires successful completion of a minimum of 18 credit hours consisting of 12 credits in core courses and 6 credits in electives. See the Undergraduate Catalog for details on the requirements for the minor. Students who wish to declare a biochemistry minor must complete the Biochemistry Minor Application Form (pdf).

Please have the form signed by any member of the Biochemistry Minor Advisory Committee (Professors Bebout, Coleman, Landino, Taylor, or Young in the Chemistry Department or Professors Hinton or Shakes in the Biology Department) and then submit the form to the Registrar's Office prior to the last day of Add/Drop in their final semester.

The Biochemistry minor has significant overlap with both the Biology and Chemistry minors, which can be good alternatives for students having difficulty scheduling elective courses for their major and the Biochemistry minor.
