The College of William & Mary isn't a college at all. We're really a small liberal arts research university with nationally ranked undergraduate, graduate and professional programs spread across Arts & Sciences and four separate schools containing dozens of academic departments, interdisciplinary research institutes and state-of-the-art labs.
Arts & Sciences is the largest academic unit on campus, with 10 graduate programs and 34 undergraduate departments and interdisciplinary programs. This is the core of W&M’s liberal arts curriculum, where expert professors team with talented young minds to answer the world’s oldest and newest questions. Master’s and doctoral degrees in select graduate programs train students to become professional scholars and leaders in their fields.
The Raymond A. Mason School of Business is both a professional training ground and an undergraduate introduction to the world of business. With guidance from top-ranked faculty, undergraduates map out an Individual Program of Study (IPS) enabling them to pursue a variety of career paths based on their interests, strengths and aspirations. MBA candidates are able to choose from full-time, part-time, executive and online programs with heavy emphasis on real-world assignments. In addition, the Masters of Accounting and Masters of Business Analytics programs can prepare students for rewarding careers in high-growth fields in just two semesters. For executives, the Center for Corporate Education specializes in designing learning programs that provide customized solutions to specific business challenges.
The School of Education is nationally accredited and recognized and fosters a learning community committed to a vision of academic excellence and service. It offers both undergraduate teacher preparation and advanced degrees in curriculum and instruction, counseling, school psychology and administration. Our students don’t wait until after graduation to start making a real difference in children’s lives and in the world.
The Law School boasts the Center for Legal and Court Technology, the most technologically advanced courtroom in the world, with extensive remote testifying and evidence presentation capabilities, a real-time transcription system, computer-aided foreign language interpretation and more video screens than a CNN newsroom. The school’s Institute of Bill of Rights Law is a nationally renowned think tank on constitutional law.
