  2. University Advancement
    University Advancements integrates William & Mary's alumni engagement, annual giving, development, marketing, communications and university events teams. The team's overarching goal is to create a lasting, robust culture of engagement and philanthropy among our students and alumni, parents and friends, faculty and staff as well as corporations and foundations.
  3. University Architect, Office of
    The University Architect has responsibilities for campus planning, design, construction and sustainability initiatives across campus. The mission is to plan, design and construct high-quality facilities that support the work of our faculty, students and staff using the most integrated, efficient and cost-effective means available.
  4. University Communications
    University Communications serves as the central communications office for William & Mary. The office serves as the primary link to external media, publishes the online William & Mary News, and has responsibility for research communications, the university website, social media, photography and design (digital and print, including William & Mary's visual identity and logo).
  5. University Counsel, Office of
    The Office of University Counsel (OUC) supports William & Mary, including all of its offices and departments, by providing a wide array of legal services. Specifically, the OUC provides legal advice and guidance to W&M's Board of Visitors, executives, administrators, faculty, staff, and sometimes students, all in their official capacities.

    UHR advances the mission and values of W&M by advising and collaborating with W&M leaders to recruit and engage an exceptional, diverse workforce. We provide programs, assistance, and consultation at the campus, team, and individual levels to foster a productive, inclusive environment in which employees can flourish.
  7. University Marketing
    University Marketing focuses on three core areas — enrollment, advancement and institutional reputation — to advance the university's distinctive excellence, raise its profile worldwide and secure its financial foundation — creating meaningful connections and wide-ranging impact on our entire community and beyond. Serving as the central marketing office for the university, our team offers expertise on branding, design, digital marketing, multimedia, project management, strategic communication, strategic events and stewardship and donor relations.
  8. University News & Media
    University News & Media is responsible for production and distribution of news content through the W&M News and campus media relations including development of university-wide media outreach and placement strategies.
  9. University Operations (now Office of the Executive Vice President)
    The Office of the Executive Vice President supports the day-to-day management of services required to meet the university’s mission. The division shepherds the use of the university’s human, financial, physical and technological resources.
  10. University Registrar, Office of the
    The Office of the University Registrar protects the integrity of the William & Mary degree, upholds and assures consistent application of academic rules and regulations, and provides assistance and services to the entire W&M community.
  11. University Web & Design
    As part of University Communications, University Web & Design offers an array of services in support of university-level communications including photography, websites, print and design.
