The Board of Visitors (BOV) is the governing body for William & Mary. The Governor of Virginia appoints individuals to serve four-year terms in the service of the university.
The 17 members of the Board of Visitors gather in Williamsburg several times each year to discuss matters of long-term planning and budget for William & Mary. The Board of Visitors meets in Blow Memorial Hall and regularly engages the campus community through its 10 committees, and the alumni community through participation at annual and special events.
