William & Mary Alumni

As a W&M alum you have access to the Career Center's services!  You can also be a resource to help students and fellow alumni.

You can access the job postings we get from employers in Tribe Careers, as well as access our password-protected job databases:

  • Alumni who graduated AFTER 2007 already have an account in Tribe Careers (as do all current students)--use your old W&M email prefix and the password you used to log into your computers here on campus--if you cannot remember your old campus password, contact support@wm.edu.

For the first two years after graduating, you can even continue to participate in the on-campus interviewing services here at the Career Center.

Within the first 5 years of graduating, alumni can schedule one-on-one advising sessions with the Career Center staff. Call 757-221-3231 to schedule an appointment. Please note, you do not have to travel to campus to access an advising session -- appointments can be conducted via Skype or phone, just request this when you call to schedule.  If you are in the area, you are welcome to participate in many of the Career Centers' events, including career fairs.

How you can help
We rely heavily on alumni to provide advice and insights to students and fellow alumni about current industry and career field trends.  To facilitate the connections between students and alumni for these conversations, we encourage alumni  to join the official W&M LinkedIn group:  the W&M Alumni Professional Engagement Network.  (Here is a quick tutorial on how to use LinkedIn, if you aren't already.)  We use this group to find alumni to invite back to campus to chat with students about careers; either in career panels, informal meet-ups, or networking receptions.  Alumni often volunteer to conduct mock-interviews, either here on campus or over Skype, giving students invaluable practice in this crucial skill.
And, of course, we urge alumni to post jobs and internships with us.
