Modern Languages & Literatures at William & Mary
The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures provides classes, internships, faculty mentored research opportunities, and study abroad programs in the field of international cultural studies. What makes our curriculum unique is the expert instruction we offer in the language itself, training students to excel in beginners’ through advanced learners’ levels of linguistic fluency. Our highly interdisciplinary, cultural studies course work encompasses areas related to the visual arts, literature, film, performance, translation, history, politics, journalism, and the study of language.
