Preparing for Life as a University Student (PLUS)
Who: Incoming Class of W&M Students
What: PLUS provides a supportive (online) introduction to academic life at William & Mary, providing participants with the opportunity to interact with some of our most distinguished faculty members here at William & Mary. During the PLUS Program, students will engage in mock class sessions, while also gaining invaluable insight from professors and current students about being holistically successful at the university. Participants will also be provided the opportunity to become familiar with numerous campus resources, including the Dean of Students Office, Academic Advising, and the W&M Washington Center.
When: Sunday, July 11 - Friday, July 16, 2021
Comunidad @ William & Mary
Who: High School Students (graduating class of 2022 or 2023)
- Hispanic & Latinx Students are strongly encouraged to apply
What: Comunidad @ William & Mary is a free, three-day, virtual program that prepares historically underrepresented high school students (Hispanic & Latinx Students are strongly encouraged to apply) to enter and succeed at a post-secondary institution. During the Comunidad program, participants will engage (virtually) in workshops on various topics such as college admissions, financial aid, networking, and career/major planning. Participants will gain invaluable insight from alumni, administrators, current students, and professors about being holistically successful at a post-secondary institution.
