Career Development for Research Graduate Students
The Graduate Center's Career Development Resource Hub
All graduate students in the College of Arts & Sciences, the School of Computing, Data Science and PHysics, the School of Education, and the Batten School and VIMS are automatically enrolled in a Blackboard Course called "Graduate Student Career Resources" that was developed in partnership between the Graduate Center and the Office of Career Development & Professional Engagement in the Cohen Career Center. This Blackboard site collects and organizes into one place the resources available to students in research-focused graduate programs at William & Mary. The site includes access to the two excellent elearning platforms listed below: Beyond the Professoriate and Beyond Graduate School.
Beyond the Professoriate: for Doctoral Students
The Graduate Center proudly subscribes to Beyond the Professoriate. This career training platform provides online professional development and career prep for doctoral students and postdocs. Explore career options and learn effective job search strategies to secure employment in academia and beyond.

Beyond Grad School: for Master's Students
The Graduate Center was first in the nation to subscribe to this new platform designed specifically for master's students. Beyond Graduate School is an online career training platform. It provides on-demand, self-paced learning modules that allow master’s students to explore career options and learn proven job search strategies, and key skills to secure employment after graduation.
