Tribe Guide

The Tribe Guide is your one-stop online source for information about what needs to be done before and during your time in Williamsburg. In additional to information around advising and registration to housing and meal plans, this site also provides you access to your dynamic myTribeGuide - a tailored and comprehensive to-do list that will help you navigate your first four months ... and then your next four years! From Orientation to Commencement, myTribeGuide is here to help ensure a positive student experience.

William & Mary is a community grounded in seven Core Values and respects our region's complex history - along with the university's place in that narrative. Before beginning your Incoming Student & Family Checklist, take a few moments to read and consider our Land Acknowledgement and Statement on Slavery and its Legacies.

New Students Arriving Fall 2025

Congratulations on your decision to join us at William & Mary! Information regarding your transition into the university will be available beginning May 1, 2025. Until then, new students will move into their residence hall assignments the day before Orientation (Thursday, August 21) and begin required New Student Orientation the Friday preceding the first day of fall classes (Wednesday, August 27, 2025).

Before You Arrive

We warmly welcome you and your supporters to the university community! Even before you arrive you can start getting to know campus and your forever friends ...
