About Rainah

Hi guys, my name is Rainah—but I go by Rai—and I’m from Hampton, Virginia. I’m a class of ’22 graduate from William & Mary, and I was also recently accepted into the School of Education where I will be pursuing a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in ESL/Bilingual education. A few things I love are butterflies, poetry and the ocean.

Favorite Spot on Campus

My favorite spot on-campus was definitely my dorm because I could go there to reflect and recharge after a long day. I also enjoyed hanging around the Sunken Gardens and walking around campus just to take in the scenic views. 

Advice to New Students

I want new students to know that college life is what you make it! So, relax, be yourself and try to explore new things. Most importantly, do not allow your sense of self-worth to become wrapped up in your academic performance. Getting your degree is important, but do not burn yourself out in the process. Remember to take time to rest and do something that you love or find enjoyable.
