Favorite Experience at W&M

A tradition in the Physics department is to celebrate the end of the fall semester with a winter social event, where professors and grad students come together to share food, some hot cider and some activities. The event is not celebrated in campus, but it is part of the W&M activities for sure. I really enjoyed how this event is setup, where you really have the opportunity to talk to other people in the department in an informal environment. It was a good time to get to know better the people in the department, and also the activities were quite fun.

Advice for New Students

Spend some time exploring the city where you have just arrived. Look around for places you would like to visit later, or restaurants you might want to try. Reserve some of your free time during the semester to visit these places.
