About Alena

Hi, my name is Ally Blue and I’m a graduate student in the W&M School of Education. I am working on my M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Addictions Counseling. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in May 2022, and I spend a lot of my free time following UNC sports, at my job at Aerie, or at the gym. I also love to bake, make jewelry for my friends and I, or spend a day reading in the sun.

Favorite Spot on Campus

My favorite spot on-campus is the second floor of the School of Education! It is the perfect place to do some studying or interact with my classmates in a quiet but comfortable environment.

Advice for New Students

Graduate education can be a little bit stressful. My biggest advice is that you take time for yourself! Explore the trails around campus, stop by the Cheese Shop in Colonial Williamsburg for a great sandwich, or relax in the Sunken Garden with a good book.
