About Tomos

Greetings all! My name is Tomos, and I’m a PhD candidate in Anthropology who came to William & Mary in 2017 from Cardiff, Wales (UK). I undertake archaeological research in Nigeria where I study the massive earthworks constructed hundreds of years ago in the West African forest belt. I’ve also been involved in research in the UK, Romania, Vietnam, South Africa, Malawi, Kenya, and the US, and I’ve hugely benefited from these experiences as I’ve worked to understand, research, and conserve international cultural heritage. When I’m not out digging for artefacts, I enjoy strolling and running on Williamsburg’s beautiful trails and blowing the cobwebs out of my saxophone every once in a while!

As a member of the ISAB, I want to work to ensure that our small, but absolutely vital, portion of the William & Mary community is recognized, adequately supported, and properly heard and listened to, because what is best for us is best for the whole university.
