Track Official Transcript Requests through Clearinghouse

Transcripts can be ordered online 24/7 through the National Student Clearinghouse. Electronic delivery is the preferred delivery method if at all possible for your request.

Limited staff is available in our office to assist W&M students, faculty, and staff in-person Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We also remain fully engaged to serve you remotely.

If you have questions about your transcript request, please contact [[w|transcripts]].

The transcript is the complete record of all academic work attempted at William & Mary, regardless of degree-seeking status or program level. The university does not provide official transcripts that segregate individual courses, schools, terms or levels.

Requests for transcripts are typically processed within two business days. Additional time is required for requests of student records prior to Fall 2003 and for requests made at the end of the semester.

All fines, fees, and most holds must be cleared from a student's account before a transcript will be released. The 1988 Virginia Debt Collection Act, Section 2.1-735, prohibits release of transcripts to any individual who owes a past due debt to a state agency.
