Transcripts are the academic records of students at the College of William and Mary and are issued by the Office of the University Registrar upon the student’s request. Official transcripts are generally required for admission to a college or university and for employment purposes.

Requests for transcripts usually are prepared and released within 3-5 working days. Additional time should be allowed for requests of student records prior to 1986, or requests made at the end of the semester.

Students are reminded that their accounts must be clear of all fines and fees before a transcript will be released. The 1988 Virginia Debt Collection Act, Section 2.1-735, prohibits release of transcripts to any individual who owes a past due debt to a state agency.
