Ian Doley is a sophomore studying Computational and Applied Mathematical Biology, while also pursuing a minor in Public Health and the Environment. Over the summer, Ian completed an internship in Washington D.C. at the Global Environment & Technology Foundation. He cannot wait to be back in the city this winter!

Sarah is from Lexington, KY, and hopes to one day live and work in Washington D.C. She is very excited to be participating in the D.C. winter seminar to explore her interests and passions centering public health!

Dylan Gurl

Dylan is a Sophomore hailing from Pelham, NY. After a gap year with AmeriCorps in the Midwest and the Bronx, NYC, he came back to campus with an interest in how public policy at local, state, and national levels shapes the outcomes and opportunities of populations and declared a major in Public Policy. He is most active with the service programs run by the Office of Community Engagement, and can also be found doing something or other with WMGIC, the Global Medical Brigade, or the Queens' Guard. He looks forward to learning more about policy design in the public health space and getting hopelessly lost in DC despite his best efforts not to.

Donavyn is from Dallas, Texas and is currently a senior at the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary. His major is in Business Marketing with a concentration in Organizational Management and Leadership. He is a Running Back (RB) on the William and Mary Tribe Football Team who also spends his free time customizing shoes and advocating for youth.

Jasmin Martinez

Jasmin is a senior from Northern Virginia studying Biology and Kinesiology with a concentration in Public Health. At William & Mary, she has been heavily involved with identity-based organizations and advocacy work. Jasmin has held positions in Student Assembly, the Latin American Student Union, Kesem, and MindVersity and has been involved with the Student Transition Engagement Programs and Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Her interest in Public health began with a course analyzing healthcare systems from different nations and comparing those to the United States healthcare system. From there, she interned at Olde Towne Medical Center as a Spanish Interpreter and Aawaz4Climate as a media intern, both experiences have deepened her interest in learning and advocating for increased access to the U.S. healthcare system to give the low-income Latine community and other POC communities quality preventative care. Jasmin loves reading, trying new bakeries, and spending time with her family!

Zainab Rahman

Zainab Rahman is a senior Kinesiology major at William and Mary. She is from Richmond, VA. Zainab is on the pre-med track and hopes to apply to medical schools post-graduation. At William and Mary, she is involved in Tri Delta, is the treasurer or Remote Areas Medical Club, a Model UN ambassador, a Minorities in Medicine mentor, and a member or Students for University Advancement. Outside of college, she is a part-time medical scribe and a donor ambassador for Red Cross. She is very excited about learning how to apply a public health model to the medical field through her experience in the DC Winter Seminars Program!

Ned Storer is currently a sophomore at William & Mary from Kensington, Maryland. From a young age, Ned has been interested in the procedure of American politics, and as a Public Policy major, is excited to continue expanding his knowledge in academics. Hoping to pursue career opportunities in DC politics, Ned is enthusiastic about the invaluable experience that this program has to offer. Elsewhere on campus, Ned is a member of the Kappa Delta Rho fraternity where he serves as social chair.

Lauren Wallis

Lauren is a sophomore currently studying Kinesiology and Health Sciences with a concentration in Public Health and a minor in Anthropology at William & Mary. She is involved in multiple organizations here at William & Mary including the Creative Writing Club and the Random Acts of Kindness Club. She is also a member of the Girls Club Soccer Team. Lauren has an on campus job where she works as a student assistant at Swem Library. She enjoys being outside, hiking, and listening to music, especially Taylor Swift. Lauren also loves hanging out with friends and exploring Williamsburg and is very excited to be given the opportunity to explore D.C. in a new way.
