MLL faculty members recognized for excellence in research. Although only tenure-track faculty have formal expectations for research activity, nearly all  MLL faculty are involved in research and scholarship in some way, including publishing, conferences, professional service outside of the university, and initiatives at W&M.

The Bellini Colloquium is a lecture series sponsored by the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures. It is an opportunity for faculty to show their research to the W&M community.

We support and foster student and faculty research at all levels of our program.  Our professors integrate research opportunities throughout the undergraduate program.  All our students have the chance to work closely with faculty on hands-on research projects.
