Current Research: Early America, social and political history

Anne Powell graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University in 2016 with degrees in History and English.  Her undergraduate honors thesis, "Printing at his Peril: James Rivington and a Free Press in Revolutionary New York, 1773-1775," examined the loyalties and motivations of the New York City printer James Rivington during the prologue to the American Revolution.  Anne's research interests focus on early American social and political history.  She currently works as an Editorial Apprentice for the Omohundro Institute.
