Bio

Joan graduated with honors from the University of Missouri in 2013 with Bachelors degrees in History and Journalism. She received her M.A. in history from University of Kansas in 2017. She is currently interested in the study of gender violence, masculinity, and marginalized bodies in the early British Atlantic.
