Write-Ins

What's a "Write-in"?

Write-ins are mini writing retreats hosted by GWCC in the new Graduate Center (Ewell 250). You’re welcome to come once, or come every week! We provide a friendly and supportive, yet quiet atmosphere. Bring your own coffee/tea and a can-do attitude! See the schedule below. RSVP using this form to let us know you're coming, or just show up!.

If you're trying to make progress on an article, dissertation, or other big project, but would benefit from some quiet camaraderie, and a structured time to focus on your writing, we welcome you to join us for this weekly writing retreat. Our goal is to provide a time and space for graduate students to set writing goals and work without interruption in a supportive environment. A GWCC consultant will host the session and be available for mini writing consultations to answer specific questions or review select segments of text.

How to prepare for a Write-In:
  • Wear comfortable clothes and bring your own coffee, tea, or water.
  • Bring all the materials you will need so you can work uninterrupted on a portion of your writing project, including books, notes, and your laptop.
  • Plan ahead. Set a reasonable goal: what exactly do you want to accomplish during each Write-In?

Please contact [[sgglos,Sarah Glosson]] with questions.
