Applying & Payroll

How to Apply for a Job
  1. Search TribeCareers for jobs that interest you.
  2. Contact the department to express your interest in the position. Priority is given to work-study students receiving Federal Work-Study as part of your financial aid package. Be sure to indicate that when discussing possible employment.
  3. Some of the larger campus employers have scheduled employment sessions and offer on-site interviews. Be prepared to complete an application at the session and have your class schedule available.
  4. Submit your application and complete an interview with the hiring department. If selected for a position, provide necessary employment eligibility documentation.
How to Get on Payroll

The following forms must be completed on the first day of employment. Most forms are accessed using Banner Employee Self-Service. You can access Banner Self-Service by visiting myW&M and selecting the Banner icon, then clicking the "Employee" tab which will become available once your student employment forms have been processed by Financial Aid.

Paycheck Timing

It usually takes a month to receive your first paycheck. Pay periods run twice a month. Therefore, if you start work August 16, you will get your first check on September 16. This check will be for the time you worked August 16-31. Learn more about pay dates and holidays.

How to Complete Your Timesheet

You will complete a timesheet in Banner Self-Service and submit it online for your supervisor to approve. If you do not submit your timesheet online you will need to complete a manual timesheet in ink and have your supervisor sign off on the hours and send it in on your behalf.
