Voices is a weekly professional development series focused on considering the future of the American university. Faculty, administrators, staff, and students gather to learn about the topic from one another. Everyone is welcome to attend but advance sign up is requested to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The purpose is three-fold:
- to gain greater insight into what various W&M stakeholders predict will be the role of the American public university in the next few decades;
- to bring together faculty, staff, students, and community to discuss a topic of shared interest;
- to develop more understanding of the complexity of each of our roles in the university setting (professor, administrator, student, alumni, etc) in an environment of shared intellectual endeavor.
- Each session has a different topic for discussion such as Financial Aid, Student Veteran Engagement or First Generation students.
