Language Houses

Program Purpose & Goals

The academic and cultural mission of each of our eight Language Houses is to immerse students in a living environment that fosters increased language study and cultural awareness. Each house hosts a native-speaking international fellow for that language.

Student Experience

The language houses are located in residence halls that are ADA accessible so that students of all abilities have the opportunity to participate in our language houses programs. The Language Houses are located in two different residence halls: Landrum Hall and Hardy Hall.

Learning Outcomes

Native-speaking international fellows facilitate conversation hours, movie nights, cultural celebrations, cooking classes, and many other activities for all residents.
