The William & Mary Promise offered in-state students who enrolled in Fall 2019 and earlier a tuition guarantee for the expected duration of their career at the university. If a student who enrolled under the Promise believes that they have circumstances that would lead to an exception of this policy, they must petition the Promise Review Committee. Common exceptions include medical withdrawals, internship opportunities, and transfer students who lack the prerequisites for their intended major. The Committee will also hear petitions for other extraordinary circumstances.
