TutorZone
The last day for Spring 2023 tutoring is May 5th, 2023. We will be announcing a start date for Summer 2023 tutoring soon.
TutorZone Mission
The mission of the TutorZone is threefold: to contribute to student retention and academic achievement, to coordinate the services of well-qualified and trained peer tutors, and to assist students with the development of independent learning skills.
The TutorZone can help with:
- Learning skills vital to success in particular courses
- Practicing problem-solving skills
- Reviewing course material
Please note that the TutorZone is not able to help with specific assignments.
At this point in the semester, we are unable to add Tutors for courses we do not already offer. Please contact your professor if you need assistance in a course the TutorZone does not currently offer.
Scheduling
A TutorZone appointment is scheduled online through Planubo, click the link above or go to tutorme.wm.edu. Students select the subject, the tutor, and the time for their appointment. Appointments must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Pay close attention to the type of appointment- in person in the TutorZone or online via Zoom.
Please do not schedule more than 2 hours of consecutive appointments with the same Tutor.
Scheduling after your first appointment
After you schedule your first appointment, you will receive an email automatically with account credentials. Please check your junk email if you do not see it as sometimes the email happens to be in students' junk email. Once on Planubo, and clicking into the class you are looking for tutoring in, there is a link towards the top of the calendar that says "Returning? Log in here" Click that to log in. You can then click on your name once logged in, click edit profile and change the password on Planubo.
Forgot your password? Didn't get the email?
You can request your Planubo password by clicking here to take you to the lost password option.
Canceling
In your confirmation email there is a link to Manage your Appointment to be able to cancel. You also can go back into the booking system, log in using the Returning? Log in Here button, and after logging in click on your name and then "My Profile" On the new screen on the left hand side, click "Home" You will see a list of upcoming events, you can click on the appointment you want to cancel and then click Deregister in the top right.
No Show & Late Cancelation Policy
If you must cancel an appointment, please provide 2-hours notice. Appointments canceled less than 2 hours before your appointment will be considered late cancelations. After three no-shows or three late cancelations, you will be blocked from making appointments at the TutorZone for the remainder of the semester.
Tutoring Cost
Tutoring is now a free service at William & Mary! Please feel free to schedule appointments without charge.
This refers specifically to one-on-one, course-specific tutoring and Time Management Consultations done by our undergraduate Tutors. Coaching is still a paid service.
