Painting & Paleontology

Painting

I have been drawing and creating art ever since I was a child. Now, as an art minor here at William & Mary with a focus on painting, I have discovered a whole new way of relating to others and making sense of the world around me. I am a figurative painter, and work back-and-forth between life and imagination, drawing from both observation and experience. I like to use my art to promote powerful women and protest inequality.

Paleontology

I have an endless passion for investigating the world through the natural sciences, particularly through paleontology. Fossils are a testament to the awesome diversity and success of life on this planet, and as a researcher, I am always humbled by that. My career goal is to study broad themes in vertebrate evolution by using the fossil record, and to mentor the next generation of natural scientists as a paleontology professor.
