Photography & Perspectives

Photography

I grew up frequently moving between communities and my family's photo albums have been with us through every move, keeping me connected to my past. I started taking photos with disposable cameras when I was 5, and got my first DSLR camera in high school. Every shot I take gives me the opportunity to learn from the endless perspectives the world has to offer. I've continued capturing my own W&M experiences and the experiences of those around me, from the engagement of friends on the Crim Dell, final moments of seniors graduating, and even an alumna's wedding. Photography has been an ongoing journey of learning and expression, helping me to understand new cultures and make lasting connections.

Perspectives
William & Mary has encouraged me to learn from many perspectives. My major in International Relations provided me with a global perspective while allowing me to explore my interests in government, economics, history, and sociology. I gained a business and data-driven perspective through my second major in Business Analytics. Beyond my academic pursuits, I've also explored my interests in music and community engagement. From singing in an a cappella group to engaging with unfamiliar communities through alternative break service trips, this community perspective has allowed me to connect with people from different backgrounds and find my unique community within W&M.
