Professor of Composition Interviewed on NPR

SophiSophia Serghi, Professor of Composition, was interviewed recently on NPR's "With Good Reason."  As a composer, Professor Serghi sees her work as translation.  She says that music is the universal language that can translate our most painful and vulnerable experiences.

Serghi began composing at age 5 - a time when "all of the senses were on overload, needing desperately to express themselves."  "Music was my medium."

This episode of "With Good Reason" will air September 17-23 on 120 radio stations in 30 states and abroad.  Listen to Professor Serghi's interview here.
