Academic Resources for Undergraduates

From the day you become a William & Mary student, we've got your academic back. First, we'll enroll you in the online College Studies course, where you'll work with a Peer Advisor to consider your academic goals and how to construct your first semester of classes. You'll also learn a lot about information literacy and your new role as an emerging scholar. During orientation you'll sit down with your faculty advisor to finalize your first-semester courses and talk through where you want to go academically and how to get there. We'll encourage you to think broadly and explore some disciplines and subject areas that are new to you.

If one of your first picks turns out to be less of a fit than you expected, during the first week of classes you can swap it and try another one. And if you forget what time a class begins or when final exams arrive, you can look up the schedule of classes or academic calendars.

As the semester unfolds, we have plenty of academic resources to help you succeed. Start with exploring Swem Library, where you will find friendly expert staff as well as the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, Writing & Communication Center and Tribe TutorZone.
