Graduate Programs

Advanced studies for professional scholars and leaders

We’ve taken everything that’s distinctive about a W&M undergraduate education — small classes, world-class facilities, close relationships with faculty — and made it even more hands-on, more personalized and more focused on concrete professional and academic goals.

In Arts & Sciences, graduate and post-baccalaureate students in 13 areas of study conduct original research and work alongside faculty and undergraduate students on wide-ranging projects with real-world significance.

William & Mary enjoys active partnerships with the region’s leading research facilities and resources, such as the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, the Omohundro Institute of Early American History and Culture, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, Jamestown Rediscovery: Historic Jamestowne and the Virginia Space Grant Consortium.

And the William & Mary School of Education offers a fully-integrated approach to advanced teacher, counselor, school psychologist and administrator training, producing professionals who are equipped with the emotional, intellectual and leadership skills to bring about positive change in our nation’s schools and communities.
