Message on Robin Rennie
Sam Jones, senior vice president for finance and administration, sent the following message to the campus community March 19, 2019. - Ed.
Dear Colleagues,
It is with deep sadness that I write to share the news that Robin Rennie passed away during the evening of Monday, March 18, 2019. Robin spent the past 14 ½ years at VIMS, and was an integral part of the Facilities administrative staff. Robin started at VIMS in November 2004 working as an hourly Administrative Assistant for the Ground Dept. She was then promoted to a permanent full-time position as an Office Assistant responsible for coordinating all of the Facilities work orders and procurement needs. She was a private, loving, and caring person who loved her job striving to provide great service to the community with a sense of humor, and willingness to help. She was an avid reader, appreciated watching sunsets at the point, enjoyed country music, was an avid dog lover, and you could usually find her on Thursday’s playing action role games, such as Dungeons of Dragons, with her VIMS friends. Our deepest sympathies go out to the Rennie family. Please respect their privacy during this time and keep them in your thoughts and prayers. There is no information regarding any services at this time.
