Campus safety message
William & Mary Police Maj. Don Butler sent the following message to the campus community April 5, 2019. - Ed.
Dear W&M Community,
This morning, William & Mary Police received a third-party report of an on-campus sexual assault of a student. While there are few details at this point we felt it important to notify the community of this report. The university has no indication of an on-going threat to the campus community. If you have any information on this incident, please contact William & Mary Police at 757-221-4596.
For resources, support or information on how to report any form of sexual violence, please visit www.wm.edu/sexualviolence. Below is a summary of campus resources. If you or someone you know needs assistance, guidance, or information, I encourage you to reach out.

The Rave Guardian app is another available resource --it works like an emergency "blue phone" in your pocket and has a number of additional important safety functions. The app may be downloaded from the Emergency Management Team's website .
