W&M Board of Visitors to meet on Feb. 7-10

The William & Mary Board of Visitors will meet in Williamsburg on Feb. 7-10, 2018.  

Committee meetings will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, in the Board Room on the third floor of Blow Memorial Hall, located at 262 Richmond Road. The meetings are scheduled to conclude by 6:15 p.m. The Board will then attend a dinner at 6:30 p.m. at the Plumeri House, located at 119 Chandler Court.

On Thursday, Feb. 8, the meetings will resume at 8:00 a.m. in Blow Hall and conclude by approximately 11:15 a.m. The Board will then meet at the Cohen Career Center, located at 180 Stadium Drive, from 11:30 to 12:15 p.m., then hold its annual joint meeting with members of the William & Mary Foundation Board of Trustees, the Alumni Association Board of Directors, and the Annual Giving Board of Directors in the Matoaka Woods Room of the School of Education, located at 301 Monticello Ave. The joint meeting will begin at 12:30 p.m. and is expected to conclude by 3:30 p.m.

At 3:45 p.m., the Board’s Committee on Athletics will meet with the W&M Foundation Athletics Sub-Committee in the Holly Room of the School of Education. The joint meeting should conclude by approximately 5:15 p.m.

At 5:30 p.m., the Board will attend the dedication of a Squash Court at the Student Recreation Center, located at 400 Brooks St.

Following the dedication, the Board will attend a reception at the Muscarelle Museum of Art, located at 611 Jamestown Road.

On Friday, Feb. 9, Board committee meetings will resume at 8:15 a.m. in Blow Hall. At noon, the Board will break for lunch with members of the Cypher Society in Room 201 of Blow Hall. The meetings will resume at 1:00 p.m. and should conclude by approximately 3:00 p.m.

The Board will reconvene on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 7:45 a.m. in the Board Room in Blow Hall and should conclude its meeting by approximately 10:00 a.m. Following the Board meeting, the William & Mary Campaign Steering Committee, which includes members of the Board of Visitors, will meet at 11:30 a.m. in the Matoaka Woods Room at the School of Education. The meeting is scheduled to conclude by 1:30 p.m.

All times are approximate, and the Board reserves the right to adjust its schedule as necessary. The meetings are open to the public, but there will be no opportunity for public comment.
