Betty Sandy Retires with 47 Years of Service

The College marked the retirement of Betty Sandy with a reception held December 18, 2009, in the Great Hall of the Wren Building.

As Assistant to the Dean of Arts & Sciences, Betty worked with a total of twelve deans. Three of those deans presented remarks at the reception (Dean Strikwerda, David Lutzer, and Barbara Watkinson), and a fourth dean sent his remarks via a letter to Betty (Geoff Feiss).

Betty's retirement concluded 37 years at the College and a total of 47 years working for the Commonwealth of Virginia. At the reception, President Reveley presented Betty with a certificate honoring her dedicated service.
