Committee on Interdisciplinary Studies

Committee Charge

There shall be a standing Committee on Interdisciplinary Studies (CIS), which will consist of six faculty members (appointed for terms of three years in consultation with the Vice-Deans). It will be chaired by one of the Vice-Deans. The CIS serves as the curriculum committee for all self-designed majors, and for all courses with an INTR prefix. The CIS was previously the Committee on Honors & Interdisciplinary Studies.

In Spring of 2025, the CIS will meet on the following dates: Feb 2, Mar 4, Apr 1 and May 6. If an application is not received one week before the committee date, that application will not be reviewed until the next meeting.
