Originally from Antalya, Turkey. She studied Molecular Biology and Genetics at Bilkent University Ankara, Turkey. She came to the USA in 2008 for her PhD studies at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, TX.
She joined the Department of Biology in the fall of 2022 as a Visiting Assistant Professor to teach 'Molecular Cell Biology (BIOL 310)' and 'Diseases and Cures of the 2020s (BIOL 460)'.
