Arts & Sciences
Arts & Sciences is the largest academic unit on campus, with 11 graduate programs and more than 40 undergraduate departments and interdisciplinary programs. This is the home of W&M’s liberal arts education, where our faculty and students ask and answer the world’s oldest and newest questions. Master’s and doctoral degrees in select graduate programs train students to become professional scholars and leaders in their fields.

Raymond A. Mason School of Business
The business school is both a professional training ground and an undergraduate introduction to the world of business. With guidance from top-ranked faculty, undergraduates map out an Individual Program of Study (IPS), enabling them to pursue a variety of career paths based on their interests, strengths and aspirations. MBA candidates are able to choose from full-time, part-time, executive, and online programs that focus heavily on real-world experiences.
In addition to top-ranked MBA programs across multiple modalities, the business school offers several specialized masters programs delivered both in the classroom and online. These include two one-year residential programs — the Master of Accounting and Master of Science in Business Analytics — as well as four online degree programs — the Online Master of Science in Business Analytics, Online Master of Science in Finance, Online Master of Science in Marketing and Online Master of Accounting.

The school of education prepares transformative leaders for a rapidly-changing world and academic landscape. William & Mary Law School, the first law school in America, offers a welcoming environment for students to pursue excellence and learn from our widely renowned faculty. The school offers courses of study for the J.D., combination degrees, an LL.M. in American Legal Studies (both residential and online), and an Online Master of Legal Studies program. Stepped in history and always innovative, the law school offers clinics that provide hands-on experience for students, and institutes and programs that help shape law and policy. The Virginia Institute of Marine Science is home to graduate students attending William & Mary's School of Marine Science and partners with Arts & Sciences to offer a minor for undergraduates interested in marine science. Located where the York River meets Chesapeake Bay and with ready access to the Atlantic, VIMS is one of the nation's leading research facilities for lab and fieldwork in the marine sciences.
