Wren Yard

Summary

The Wren Yard is located to the east of the Sir Christopher Wren Building between the President's House and the Brafferton. The Wren Yard may only be reserved by W&M departments or university-related foundations and meet the approval of the Executive Director of Historic Campus. Functions must be consistent with the dignity of W&M's Historic Campus and its historic character.

Use Restrictions

Only events that serve a large cross-section of W&M departments and/or represent the university as outreach to or participation in greater community events will be approved.

The placement of tents must be approved by the Executive Director of Historic Campus. Tents must be secured with water barrels; stakes are not permitted.

Booking the Yard for an event in which food/beverages are served will incur a usage fee. 

A representative of the sponsoring organization must be identified on the reservation form and must be present during the entire event to serve as liaison.

Inclement Weather Policy

Use of the Wren Yard does not imply or guarantee that buildings on Historic Campus will serve as rain sites, restrooms, or other facilities needs. Any use of indoor locations must be arranged separately and in addition to reserving outdoor spaces.
