About
Alex Blue V, Assistant Professor of Music (Ethnomusicology), obtained his Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Previously he served as the 2019-21 Thurgood Marshall Fellow in African and African American Studies at Dartmouth College; and was a Fellow in the 2018-19 Ithaca College Predoctoral Diversity Scholars Program. He conducts research in the areas of sound, race, identity, and urban space and will teach courses on race and music, sound studies, and hip-hop production.
