Victor K. Branch ‘84

Mr. Branch received his Associate of Arts degree from Richard Bland College in 1982, his B.A. in Sociology from William & Mary in 1984, and attended the Virginia Bankers Association School of Retail Management at the University of Virginia in 1991. He joined Bank of America in 1984, starting in its entry-level management training program. In 1992, he became Vice President and Mid-Atlantic manager of specialized sales and in 2001 was appointed Senior Vice President and Corporate Affairs Manager for the Central Virginia region. Since 1997, Mr. Branch has also worked in Virginia government relations for the company. In 2015, Mr. Branch was named President of the Richmond region for Bank of America. Throughout his career, he has been highly involved in the community, serving on multiple boards, including the Richard Bland College Foundation (1987 to 1991 and 2009 to 2015). In 2017, the RBC Foundation recognized Mr. Branch as a Notable Alumni (April 2017) and also honored him with a Distinguished Alumni Award (October 2017). Mr. Branch is chair of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Gateway Region Economic Development Alliance and a member of the executive committee for Housing Opportunities Made Equal. He is also a trustee of the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, Chamber RVA, serves on the boards of Venture Richmond and the YMCA of Greater Richmond, and was a member of the Virginia State University Reginald F. Lewis School of Business marketing advisory committee. He also serves on the GoVirginia Region 4 Job Alliance Committee. Mr. Branch has received multiple honors for his work and community involvement, including being named as a top 10 economic impact driver in the Richmond region by Style Weekly in 2017, one of the top 30 business leaders over the past 30 years by the Richmond Times-Dispatch in 2016, and was recognized in 2009 by the Asian American Society of Central Virginia for his support of the organization and its work.
