The Equity & Belonging Committee initially came together to learn how to support W&M employees during the pandemic around childcare needs. What emerged was a cross-campus collaboration to act on the mission statement and make it real and tangible to all employees. To do this, we have taken to heart W&M’s vision of “transcending boundaries” recognizing that the pathway to realizing all our values, in particular flourishing and belonging, lies in our willingness and eagerness to center care.
