The Gallery Players chamber orchestra will debut “Indian Territory” at its spring concert on April 27 at 8:00 PM at Bruton Parish Church. This piece was composed by Class of 1939 Maurine Stuart Dulin Artist-in-Residence Dawn Avery, a Grammy-nominated cellist, composer and vocalist of Mohawk descent. In addition to instrumental music, "Indian Territory" includes the speaking and singing of the names of Virginia tribal communities.

This performance is part of Bruton Parish's Candlelight Concerts series; attendance is free, but the church does accept donations to support its musical programming.
