John Scherpereel Professor of Political Science, Coordinator of the Modern European Studies Minor, James Madison University |
John Scherpereel is Professor of Political Science and coordinator of the Modern European Studies minor at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA (USA). From 2009 to 2019, he directed JMU’s M.A. program in political science, which is based in Florence (IT). Dr. Scherpereel has published widely on European Union politics, the politics of central and eastern Europe, political representation, and political science pedagogy. He helps to coordinate the Mid-Atlantic European Union Simulation in Washington, DC and trains students who participate in the Schuman Challenge, an annual event hosted by the EU Delegation to the US.
