Members of the Office of Strategic Cultural Partnerships were excited to join colleagues at Montpelier, James Madison’s estate in central Virginia, on a beautiful October day. We were pleased to meet with Montpelier’s new President and CEO, Eola Dance; Center for the Constitution Director Dr. Katie Crawford-Lackey; Manager of Education Programs Patrick Campbell; Director of Archaeology and Landscape Restoration Matthew Reeves, and Senior Research Historian Hilarie M. Hicks ’84. We got caught up with the exciting work happening at Montpelier and discussed cross-overs between the work being done at Montpelier and the work in the areas of descendant-engagement and museum learning being done by the SCP team.
