Sgt. First Class George Nipper, who worked for the Virginia Army National Guard and had been assigned by the Army to William & Mary's military science department, died July 1, 2011.

William & Mary to test emergency siren June 8

The College of William and Mary will test its emergency alert system Wednesday June 8, 2011. The drill, which will be conducted at 12:15 p.m., will include both a test of the campus-wide siren system and the mass notification messaging system.

The Board of Visitors at the College of William and Mary will hold its annual meeting in Williamsburg April 13-15, 2011.

Richard Bland College presidential search committee to host forums

The Richard Bland College presidential search committee will hold its first meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Later that same day, the committee will also host two separate forums to gather input from the campus community to help inform the search. A forum for students will be held from 1-2 p.m. A forum for faculty and staff will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
