About the Program
Gain an understanding of Russian language and culture. You can study literature and film to understand the differences between historical and contemporary culture. This program offers courses in all levels of Russian language for you to study. Minoring in Russian can enhance your studies in art & art history, government, international relations, music and film & media studies.
Through the Russian studies program we offer a minor in Russian language and literature as well as a major and minor in Russian, East European and Eurasian studies through the global studies program.
Path of Study
Outcomes
Russian studies graduates work for major think tanks, the federal government and leading media outlets, such as The New York Times. Many continue their education at the top Ph.D. and M.A. programs nationwide, including Georgetown University, Yale University, University of Pittsburgh, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, George Washington University and Stanford University.
