How did the Noyce program at William and Mary prepare you to use teaching strategies that can help all students learn in all settings?

The Noyce program instills the value that all students are deserving and able to succeed. With this belief and mindset I always carefully considered what activities and lessons were taking place in my classroom, to benefit the learning of all students.

Describe any highlights/special achievements during these beginning years of teaching:

In my first year teaching I was recognized as the middle school teacher of the year for WJCC. In my third year teaching, I worked in the new middle school in our division and served as the science lead. I was also a cooperating teacher for a W&M student teacher, Noyce Scholar, during that year.

What has the Noyce program meant to you?
The Noyce program was a community for me while in graduate school and even afterwards. It is a source of support, networking, and professional growth for me in the education world.
