Machine Shop

WeldingThe W.S.P.L. machine & instrument shop has provided machining and design services to the scientific community for more than 50 years. The majority of our work has been associated with physics research at William and Mary, but we have designed and built equipment for groups in many fields of scientific research. Past customers include the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, the departments of Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Geology at W&M, Thomas Jefferson Lab and its predecessor, SREL, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Universities of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia; Temple, SUNY at Stonybrook, and many others.
