The W&M Wren Masters Win its fourth consecutive Artists Touring Grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts

The Wren Masters, the faculty baroque quartet of the College of William & Mary, has won its fourth consecutive Artists Touring Grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts, to support their 2017-2018 season.  This arts program supports high-quality music, dance, and theater throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia by providing grant assistance to concert and event presenters.

The Wren Masters, who have been performing together since 2004, consist of four current and former members of the William & Mary Music Department performing artist faculty: Thomas Marshall (harpsichord and organ), Susan Via (baroque violin), Sarah Glosson (baroque cello and viola da gamba) and Ruth Griffioen (recorder).  With assistance from the VCA Touring Grant, the Wren Masters have given concerts of baroque music on period instruments for the past fourteen years throughout Virginia.
